CONTRACT AND INVOICE ANALYSIS
For clients as large as Willis/Sears Tower and John Hancock Center, to smaller facilities of 50,000 square feet, MASCO analyzes contracts, invoices and all other relevant data to confirm all energy charges are correct and appropriate. We use proprietary computer tools to verify the accuracy of energy consumption and demand data appearing on energy invoices.
REFUNDS FOR OVERPAYMENTS FOR ENERGY
Once we have completed the above analysis, we prepare and submit all refund claim documents to the energy supplier and the distribution company. We then work extensively with these parties to expedite our client’s receipt of a refund faster.
To date, we have only had to use the legal process twice to effectuate our client’s receipt of refund settlements. Working through these proceedings have made it easier to obtain refunds for our other clients with subsequent claims.
If needed, we work with local distribution companies to replace defective service facilities to eliminate new claims.

We then analyze independent market data for future rates on a weekly, sometime daily basis to determine the very best time to lock in future rates and inform our clients.
Low Cost Energy Contract Negotiation
As we complete the above analysis, we prepare an energy supply contract analysis tool to compare your current energy costs to your future costs under such contracts.
MASCO then qualifies energy suppliers under a very rigorous process involving analysis of supply contracts and the financial viability of the supplier.
When we and our client agree that it is the very best time to lock in future energy rates, we obtain competitive quotes for supply contracts from the above qualified suppliers, analyze these quotes with the above tool and then make final recommendations to our client.
On our client’s behalf, MASCO negotiates energy supply contracts with the suppliers with the lowest evaluated cost with the best available terms to protect our clients’ best interests.
MASCO facilitates our client’s execution of the above energy supply contract, confirms the supplier’s acceptance of that contract and verifies the accuracy of the energy supplier’s charges to our client for the contract term.
